Ms. Shauna Gatley
Graduated from Teesside University and received an upper class 2:1 degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, I have joined Yarm Sports and Physio clinic to continue my passion in managing sporting injuries and patient rehabilitation.
Previously I have work experiences with connect health rehabilitation services, Middlesbrough women football club strength, and conditioning coaches, as well as pitch side first aid for my local football team Redcar Athletic. During my time at University, I gained clinical skills and treatment techniques through Teesside University’s injury and rehabilitation clinics. I have got good experience in assessing and treating patients using sports massage, joint manipulation, exercise prescription, and taping and strapping.
Being a sporty person myself I took an interest in physiotherapy at a young age due to developing numerous injuries from competing at the county level in sports such as football, gymnastics, and athletics. My passion and main sport is Football which I train and play regularly for enjoyment and socialising with friends. I perused a career in Sports Therapy as I am very interested in the rehabilitation of athletes, anatomy of the body, and the musculoskeletal side of physiotherapy. Alongside working at Yarm sports and physio clinic I’m looking to continue my PG studies.
